The PCB was set up by Government in December 1995 to deal with complaints made by members of the public on the delivery and quality of services in an effective and speedy manner. The PCB is attentive to the complaints made by any citizen aggrieved by the act and omission of any Ministry/Department or any Public Officer in the execution of his duty. Since September 2002, the PCB is operating under the aegis of the Prime Minister´s Office with a view to giving the whole issue of public complaints more prominence. The PCB will now be called upon to play a catalytic role in the management and timely settlement of complaints.
